Once upon a time, not that long ago I saw a pretty kite and bought it. It was a fighter. After my first attempts at flight I knew why it was called a fighter, I fought it and it won…. So into the basement it went. Soon thereafter I told another flier of my struggles and he proceeded to show me some simple techniques to try…. I pulled out the kite and SUCCESS! I was hooked, grins from ear to ear. I then practiced and got (in my mind) pretty handy, thought I was ready to actually fight someone else. Wrong; I might as well have been a stationary target…. I had neither the equipment or the skill to compete and I swore that would never happen again. I have built kites since I was a kid but never fighters. So I set out to learn fighters…. After numerous models I thought I had something pretty good, I put it before the experts and they chewed it up (a little) but they gave me the encouragement to keep going. My goals were to make a kite that was good looking, colorful, durable, had performance when I wanted it and was affordable for the average flier. I think I’ve achieved that goal with the ROO series of kites. I hope you enjoy these kites like I do.Joseph Ludwig

ROO-II
This kite is the higher performance version of the standard Roo. It has a carbon spine to stiffen the kite and make it more responsive. Again this kite uses the finest materials and can be ordered with multi-panel sails. I do not recommend this kite for beginners.
ROO-HW
This kite is a high wind version in the Roo series. It has a much stiffer frame and is a different kite. This is a very fast kite and is going to be available Jan-‘04.
